Pequeñas piezas de las muchas letra capitulares que se encuentran repartidas por todo el manuscrito. Estos trabajos suelen ser encargos para hacer como obsequio.
La iluminación celta se caracteriza por la ausencia de metales y por una policromía ligera y transparente. Estas piezas están elaboradas con tintes y pigmentos aglutinados con goma arábiga y glair y tinta negra impermeable.
Los tamaños son muy variados: 8x7cm o 9x7cm para las letras independientes, unos 20x7cm para las piezas alargadas y 10x15cm para el TUNC del final.

Celtic illumination is characterized by the absence of metals and light, transparent polychromy. These pieces are made with dyes and pigments bound with arabic gum and glair and waterproof black ink.
The sizes are varied: 8x7cm or 9x7cm for independent letters, about 20x7cm for elongated pieces and 10x15cm for the TUNC work.
